Positive measures for minority members’ recruitment in the public sector

An important legal provision was passed by the Parliament, albeit not without reactions and tensions, especially by the far right parliamentary party of LAOS. The law provides for a 0.5 percentage of minority members to be hired in the public sector. This constitutes a positive discrimination measure in favour of the Muslim minority of Western Thrace.
