In April 2009, Mr. B. reported the following racist incident: Mr. B. was a subtenant sharing the flat with two other people. When his flat mates moved out (one of them was the main signatory) he searched for and found replacement tenants. 

"Some time later, the former main signatory received a letter from the property manager giving her five days to state whether she was still resident at the property, otherwise they were considering evicting her. The property manager went on to say that they had been contacted by several building tenants to report that "N...[*]" were living there now and dealing drugs. In reaction Mr B called the property manager and informed them of his desire to take over the contract. The property management indicated that this would be possible if in future black people were not seen coming and going as often." ZARA, Rassismus Report 2009, pp. 39-40
