In Göttingen, a Muslim woman wearing a headscarf was beaten and verbally insulted by four men in their early twenties because of her headscarf and her ethnic origin. The victim, a 24-year-old medical student of Syrian origin, was pushed to the ground and kicked repeatedly in the back. One of the assailants claimed that now she should ‘finally be German’. She suffered bruising and abrasions. The police have not yet found the assailants, who had shaved heads and wore black clothes. This was not the first time that the women had been attacked.
