On 14 February 2011 the police banned the Budapest Pride March, scheduled for 18 June 2011, following a request of the organisers to extend the march's route from the traditional one going from Heroes' Square to Elisabeth Square, to a route ending at Kossuth Square. [1] On 18 February 2011 the Metropolitan Court in its judgement overturned the police resolution. [2]
