Attack against Black people in North of France
The house of a doctor and his spouse, both coming from Benin, was attacked with Molotov cocktails and tagged with French and German racist graffiti. Before throwing the Molotov cocktails, which did not explode, the attackers had locked the gate of the house with a chain, thus the occupants could not exit….
This is not the first event of this nature in this town; in January 2005, the house of a young nurse from the Maghreb was tagged with Nazi inscriptions. Investigators believe that these two events may be linked. A complaint was lodged but not culprit found. In 2004, two Jewish graves in the nearby English cemetery were desecrated, and in 2000, the unfinished house of a Polish and Moroccan couple was partly burned.
