Imprisonment for first right-wing extremist systematically using the internet for Nazi propaganda
On 15 February 2007, the 67-year old Zündel was found guilty of incitement of the people and denying the Holocaust in 14 cases by the Regional Court in Mannheim. He was one of the first right-wing extremists who systematically used the internet for Nazi and anti-Semitic propaganda. He used his own website "Zundelsite", which he ran from Canada. He was expelled from Canada and handed over to German authorities in March 2005. In 2007, the Court sentenced him to five years in prison.
