On 5 May 2011, the Government appointed a special investigator to provide an overall picture of the knowledge on xenophobia and related forms of intolerance and identify weaknesses to be addressed in future work. The inquiry “A more effective work against xenophobia and related intolerance” (Dir. 2011:39) mainly targets schools and public authorities. The mission is to investigate anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, Afrophobia and anti-Roma issues.
