The Shamrock Rovers player accused of racial abuse by Derry’s Eamon Zayed has denied the claims. The Dublin-born Libyan international made the allegation after the teams drew 1-1 at Tallaght Stadium on Monday night. Zayed scored the second-half equaliser in the game but was “quite upset” afterwards, according to manager Stephen Kenny, and an official complaint was lodged with the match delegate and referee Richie Winter. -Irish Times
