Short Answer

The only information available concerns Roma. Women play particular roles in many Roma communities with regards to the family's  health care. Therefore, they are more likely to interact with the health care system and be exposed to discriminatory attitudes that may arise in accessing health services.

Qualitative Info

Roma women have three main roles in their communities with regards to healthcare: (1) as caregivers, they are responsible for the family's health, (2) the great majority of Roma health mediators are women, and (3) they are responsible of "sensitive issues" like family planning and reproduction. Consequently Roma women's awareness and access to information about health issues is essential. This is reported as deficient by researchers of the field.
