Qualitative Info |
One of the major initiatives by the Swedish Police Service is the establishment of a Hate Crime Unit in Stockholm. The Hate Crime Unit has continued to evolve. From October 2009, there are hate crime coordinators in each district. They serve as contact persons together with the Hate Crime Unit and the County Bureau of Investigation, working with coordination, monitoring, and method development and providing information on hate crimes. At the Hate Crime, six policemen including a squad leader, a preliminary investigator and four investigators are employed. Source: The Swedish Police in Stockholm, http://www.polisen.se/ |
