The Board of Equal Treatment (Ligebehandlingsnævnet) handles complaints about discrimination and makes decisions in the matter. It is the objective of the Board to remain impartial as to offer the parties a fair hearing, and thus the Board can hardly be said to offer legal support or assistance to alleged victims. Victims of discrimination must rely on the ordinary channels of legal aid (income criteria) and the assistance of local NGO's. |
