Qualitative Info |
Extreme-right parties in the French political landscape persist (but they are not represented in the Parliament) even though leading political figures at all levels have firm discourse against many forms of racism, including islamophobia and anti-Semitism. This is the case of the vast majority of members of the main political parties. However, a number of remarks by politicians, including by elected persons and members of the government, in particular about immigration and integration, have been interpreted as encouragements to expressions of racism and xenophobia. |
