Qualitative Info |
The only specific anti-racist rules and sanctions are provided by the Football Federation’s Disciplinary Code, amended in 2008 in order to comply with FIFA regulations. However, the Greek Federation chose not to fully harmonise its regulations as suggested by FIFA. It also included alleviating clauses allowing the effective non imposition of fines under exonerative circumstances. Despite a number of notably violent racist incidents, no such crime has been reported or investigated as such, brought to or processed in the court on the basis of racist motivation and in enforcement of the anti-racist law (n.927/1979).
