It increased rapidly its political profile by receiving almost 7% of the popular vote in the consecutive May and June Elections in Greece. It is represented in the 2012 Parliament with 18 seats (out of 300). The parliamentary party Popular Orthodox Alert (LAOS) obtained in the 2009 legislative elections, 5.63%. It is led by Yorgos Karatzaferis.
